Best Timing to deposit money on February 4, 2019, Li Chun day!

times for bankingHello all! A very Happy 2019 to everyone! I hope the start of 2019 has been good to you so far. For myself,  this is the busiest time of the year, I am rushed off my feet doing readings and Feng Shui updates right up to Li Chun Day, which is on February 4 in 2019.

Li Chun is the Solar New Year, the Spring Solstice and it is also the change over of the Yang Earth Dog zodiac year to the Yin Earth Pig Year. This change occurs every year, but the years which are considered to be more auspicious are the ones when Li Chun occurs within the Lunar or Chinese New Year period. A year with Li Chun outside of the Lunar or Chinese New Year period is deem as a Non -Chun year, and it is traditionally known as not a good year to wed.

So what is this hoo-ha about banking-in your money on Li-Chun day? Well, this is a Chinese tradition that has become very trendy in the last decade. It is the belief that banking in your money on this day will invigorate your wealth energy and boost your money luck for the entire year. Therefore you will see long queues of people waiting to deposit their money at Banks and Automated machines at on this day.

There have been arguments on whether that this is a genuine or fake tradition, but why should it matter? Whichever the answer may be, the practice of banking in money on Li-Chun day is now deeply rooted in people’s mind, it makes them happy and gives them hope.  I call this a form of Law of Attraction, the belief that focusing on positive or negative thoughts can bring positive or negative experiences into your life. So since this is a positive belief, why not join in the excitement by banking in some money into your account on Li Chun day, as what have you got to lose by doing it?

To join in the fun of this tradition, I have put together a chart of Auspicious times on February 4 for every zodiac sign.

If you are unable to get to the bank or ATMs to deposit cash, you can deposit some money into your personal Safe. However, do note that transferring of funds from one account to another is inadvisable.

Please refer to the chart to find good banking in hours!

Wishing you a prosperous to the year of the Yin Earth Pig Year!

With blessings,

Master Clarice Chan

The Many Faces of Your Fortune in 2019

cover-montage1

So, how many cover designs do you think one book will need, before you find the right one? I guess there is no real answer to that.  Just imagine for one moment that, you are publishing a book or a magazine annually; how much importance will you place on the cover design?  For me, each year, that is that first step, finding the appropriate art direction for the cover design to kick start the making of the, “Your Fortune Series”.

After 13 years, you would think that it will become easier, but the answer is no!  Just to show you what some of the ideas were, I have asked my designer to put together a montage of some of the cover designs that we worked on. While it is always tough working to create an attractive and strong cover, I must say the result has always rewarding.

So with that, I would like to announce that my latest publication: “Your Fortune in 2019” will be out and selling in the Kinokuniya, MPH and other major bookstores and good newstands by early November. So stay tune to purchase a copy!

The Double Nine Festival or Cheung Yang Jie

The Ninth Lunar day of the Ninth Lunar month falls on October 17 this year. This is a special day for the ancient Chinese and still is for many today, as the number 9  is a special Yang number and  it is often associated with the Emperor.  Therefore, the Ninth  Lunar Day in the Ninth Lunar month is considered to be a super Yang and auspicious date.

The  Double Nine Festival’s main activity is  focused on trekking or walking up hills or mountains. It is believed that people can improve their health by taking part in the trekking or walking activities on this day. For me, this is indeed interesting, as 99 in numerology is classified as a Master Number,  and it is also sometimes described as the Eternal Master Number. There are also other information that suggest that walking up the hill or mountain on this day is a symbolic way of reaching new heights.

The Double Nine or the Cheung Yang  Festival is more popular in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. It is not so widely celebrated in Singapore. I do not know why, but my guess is that it is probably due to the lack of hills and mountains here. With this in mind, if walking or treking on this day symbolically means reaching new  heights, perhaps we can subsitute the mountains by walking up some of the tall buildings in Singapore.  After all, in modern Feng Shui, we do substitute Mountains with Buildings.   Just a practical thought.  However, for those of you that really  wish to walk up a hill in Singapore on October 17,  you can always try  Mount Faber or plan to go on a climbing trip! 😀

Happy Walking on then Double Nine Festival and Good Health to all!

Winter Solstice 2013

Winter Solstice is a big event for many cultures.   In ancient China, this day means that  farmers could lay down their tools and return home to their families. A feast would be prepared to mark the occasion.  A special dessert made of a sweet soup with Glutinous Balls is prepared and everyone is expected to have a bowl of this soup; known as Tang Yuan. This is also the day that they add a year to your age.

Today, I found an interesting article about Winter Solstice 2013, which is tomorrow (22nd December).
Let’s see what they say :
